Scholarships for SEGS Honours Students
Perth is the centre of the
Australian petroleum and mining industries and SEGS has close
relationships with both sectors. Minerals and petroleum science and
engineering at UWA have an international reputation based on a long
history of collaboration with petroleum and mining companies. The Honours
scholarships provide an exciting opportunity to study petroleum and
minerals geology in one of the world’s great resource-industry centres
and to develop ties to the local industry. Currently the demand for
geoscience graduates and graduate starting salaries are at
unprecedented levels. Completion of Honours degrees at 2A level or
better also enables students to apply to enter the large SEGS
postgraduate programme studying for Ph.D and M.Sc degrees as part of
the research programmes of the school's research centres.
For more information on the wealth of general honours scholarships available at UWA visit the Scholarships site. Some of the Honours scholarships particularly applicable to SEGS students are listed below. |
